Unlocking Your Buzzsprout Podcast Feed

Before importing your show to Yellowball, you may need to unlock your Buzzsprout feed. This ensures that your podcast is accessible to migration tools and feed readers.

Why You Might Need to Unlock

Some podcast hosts — like Buzzsprout (and Yellowball) — include a feed lock feature to prevent other services from importing your RSS feed without permission.
If this is enabled, you'll need to temporarily disable it to complete the migration.

How to Unlock Your Feed in Buzzsprout

Follow these steps to make your Buzzsprout RSS feed available for import:

  1. Log into your Buzzsprout account.

  2. Select the podcast you want to import.

  3. Go to the Podcast Info section, then click the Advanced tab.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page.

  5. Find the box labeled “Lock Feed from Transfer.” Uncheck it, then click Save Podcast Info.

Once complete, your podcast feed will be unlocked and ready to import into Yellowball.

⚠️ It may take 10–15 minutes for the change to take effect.
If your import still shows the feed as locked, wait a few minutes and try again.
