Are Transcripts Required?
No. Transcripts are completely optional in Yellowball. You can:
- Enable or disable transcripts for individual episodes
- Edit transcripts after they're generated
- Delete transcripts at any time
How Does Yellowball Generate Transcripts?
When you choose to generate transcripts, Yellowball uses Cloudflare's AI platform to process your audio files. This ensures secure processing within Cloudflare's trusted infrastructure.

What Happens to My Audio Data During Transcription?
When you generate transcripts for an episode:
- Your audio is temporarily processed through Cloudflare's AI service
- The transcription happens securely within Cloudflare's network
- Your audio data is not used for AI model training or improvement
- Cloudflare does not use your content to enhance their AI services
- No audio content is permanently stored on Cloudflare's AI platform beyond processing
According to Cloudflare's data usage policy, they explicitly do not use customer inputs (including your audio files) for training AI models or improving their services.

Are My Podcasts Being Transcribed Elsewhere Already?
Likely yes. If you've submitted your podcast to Apple Podcasts, Apple automatically generates transcripts for episodes in their directory — regardless of your hosting provider.
This is a standard accessibility feature Apple provides for all podcasts in their platform.

Who Has Access to My Transcripts?
